Llanidloes - The Arwystli Country, Wales UK
Llanidloes is at the heart of the ancient medieval kingdom of Arwystli; the first town on the River Severn and an ideal spot to take a break; be it for just a couple of days, a week, or a fortnight. But be warned, the place is dangerously addictive. You might never want to leave. Today, Arwystli includes many of the most beautiful towns and villages in Mid Wales; Llanidloes (of course), Llandinam, Trefeglwys, Caersws, Carno, Llangurig and beyond.

My great grandfather Evan Holford Mills was born and bred in Llanidloes. His parents Evan Mills and Hannah Mills lived on Great Oak street and High Street. He was a grocer and a furniture joiner. Holford became an architect, and married Ivy Ruby Watkin and they later lived in Llandrindod Wells. If anyone has any information on the mills family of Great Oak street, either Evan, Holford, or all his siblings, please get in touch.
